News Story by Linda Fudala-Tucker entitled "Community Plan adopted by Lee County without Comment" appearing in the October 14, 2005 issue of the Boca Banner Note: Following the Adoption Hearing, the Lee County Division of Planning submitted the Comprehensive Plan Amendment adopted by Consent Ordinance 05-19 to the Florida Department of Community Affairs and on December 19, 2005 the Florida DCA published a Notice of Intent to find the Comprehensive Plan Amendment adopted by Consent Ordinance 05-19 in compliance with all Florida statutory requirements. The Notice of Intent became final agency action since no petition for an administrative hearing to challenge the Ordinance was filed within 21 days after publication of the Notice of Intent. Consent Ordinance 05-19 became effective on January 9, 2006. THE LEE COUNTY VISION STATEMENT AND LEE COUNTY GOAL, OBJECTIVES AND POLICIES FOR BOCA GRANDE HAVE BEEN INCORPORATED INTO THE LEE COUNTY COMPREHENSIVE PLAN 2006 CODIFICATION AS AMENDED THROUGH NOVEMBER 2006. THE VISION STATEMENT CAN BE FOUND AT PAGES I-2 AND I-3 UNDER ELEMENT I SHOWING THE VISION STATEMENTS OF MANY OF THE 22 PLANNING COMMUNITIES IN LEE COUNTY INCLUDING BOCA GRANDE.
